What is Advancement Extravaganza?
Advancement Extravaganza is a day-long, adult-only supplemental training opportunity offered by the Cascade Pacific Council. Participants have the opportunity to take classes on current advancement policies, procedures and issues in the various scouting programs: Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Sea Scouts are covered. This is one of the best opportunities of the year to get your advancement-related questions answered.
Advancement Extravaganza has something for every adult involved in scouting. Leaders new to scouting or their leadership positions will find the information they need to help them support their unit’s advancement program. Experienced Scouters will pick up valuable tips and ideas to take back to their units. Parents of scouts can learn more about the program their son’s involved with and learn something about the program he’ll be moving into down the road.
How do I register?
On-line registration at www.cpcbsa.org begins December 7th. Register by February 20th and pay only $12. After February 20th registration is $20. Participants receive an AE2010 DVD, class outlines, advancement resources, lunch and event patch.
Participants choose up to five 70-minute classes. Look through the list of class descriptions and the class schedule to find the classes that meet your needs. No pro-rated fee is available for those who take fewer than five classes.
Please contact us if mobility will be an issue. Lunch with a variety of options will be provided, but we are not able to provide for specific dietary needs. Nor’west Scout shop will be on hand with advancement-related items for sale.
